Dear Fellow Taxpayers,
We all pay taxes. We have to, as members of society. But, as members of society, we don't get a say in where our money goes. Our school just lost its arts program because of money. We at the Nogales Flowers Arts Initiative come to you, fellow tax payers and members of society, because we have nowhere else to turn. Our principal, God bless him, does not want to risk spending taxpayer dollars on art, when the higher ups and bigwigs in education want him to spend it on math and science stuff, like AIMS (Arizona's Instrument for Meeting Standards). AIMS are the tests we have to take in February. We, at the Initiative, believe that you need to have fun in order to study. And you need to buckle down but you can only do it after you've unloosened the buckle and did some art. Please sign our petition by logging in and saying YES TO ART at Susan B. Anthony Middle School in Tucson, AZ. If we get enough signatures, maybe our principal, God love him, will get off his duff and use that money in better ways. Thank you for your time.
Paint your town red,
Lylice X and Mexico P, Founders and Co-Presidents, Nogales Flowers Arts Initiative
